The Manufacturing Academy is an intensive 17-week accelerated training program designed to provide individuals (with no prior experience) with the skills necessary for entry-level jobs with local manufacturing companies. The curriculum combines machining theory with hands-on training, culminating in industry-recognized credentials. This pre-employment program, developed in collaboration with industry partners, emphasizes technical math, machine theory, blueprint reading, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs). Additionally, career coaching is provided by program staff, enabling participants, many of whom face barriers, to progress smoothly along their career pathways.

To date, we have administered this program to 15 cohorts with over 150 enrollments and maintain an 85% job placement rate upon completion.
