AMI-SD prohibits any form of unlawful discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, sex, gender, gender identity or gender expression, age, marital status, national origin, mental or physical disability, political belief or affiliation, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, and any other class of individuals protected from discrimination under state or federal law with respect to employment, volunteer participation and the provisions of services.
Any employee, board member, volunteer, client or guest who believes that they or any other affiliate of AMI-SD has been discriminated against is strongly encouraged to report this concern promptly to AMI-SD leadership. Discriminatory harassment or intimidation of an employee, board member, volunteer, client or guest because of that person’s race, color, religion, creed, sex, gender, gender identity or gender expression, age, marital status, national origin, mental or physical disability, political belief or affiliation, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, and any other class of individuals protected from discrimination under state or federal law is specifically prohibited and may be grounds for termination. Harassment and intimidation includes abusive, foul or threatening language or behavior.
AMI-SD is committed to maintaining a workplace that is free of any such harassment and will not tolerate discrimination. Issues of discriminatory treatment, harassment, or intimidation on any of these bases should immediately be reported to AMI-SD leadership and, if substantiated, prompt action will be taken.
