Advanced Manufacturing Institute San Diego (AMI-SD) is a nonprofit focused on supporting the region's advanced manufacturing and defense industries by training skilled workers and helping employers find reliable talent. Using real industry experience and hands-on learning, we offer job training, skill building, and job placement help to San Diego County residents, guiding them to start careers in advanced manufacturing.
In as little as 17 weeks, we prepare individuals for entry-level Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machine Programming jobs, such as CNC Operators, Machinists, and Quality Control Inspectors, that involve operating machines, reading blueprints, programming, and utilizing precise tools.
Our programs and services are ideal for people who are:
- unemployed, underemployed, or career-shifting individuals;
- actively seeking entry-level and mid-level precision-machining roles within the advanced manufacturing sector; and
- prefer accelerated, hands-on, real-world, direct training in a positive, professional, and supportive environment
